  • Our web portal, public tree-viewing features, and mapping interface;
  • QR-code scanning functions and camera/file uploads (only when you voluntarily use them);
  • Tree data entered by authorized internal users, such as species information, coordinates, photos, and assessments;
  • Optional location data when you choose “Locate Me” on the map.

2. Personal Data and Tree Data We May Collect

Depending on your interactions with the system, we may collect:

  • Tree data: species name, coordinates (latitude/longitude), images, assessments, comments, nursery or deployment status;
  • Device data (optional): camera access for QR scanning or image uploads, location when you request map positioning;
  • System user information: login details and activity logs (for authorized internal users only).

Public visitors are not required to create an account or submit personal details to browse tree information.

3. Purposes of Processing

Your data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Managing and maintaining tree inventories and ecological records;
  • Displaying tree information publicly on the map for community awareness;
  • Supporting QR scanning, location features, and media uploads;
  • Ensuring system integrity, security, and performance;
  • Internal analysis, reporting, and environmental management;
  • Compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.

4. Disclosure and Sharing of Data

We may disclose data:

  • Within Gamuda Parks / Gamuda Land for operational or environmental management purposes;
  • To service providers involved in hosting, maintenance, or security (under confidentiality obligations);
  • To government authorities if required by law;
  • In anonymised or aggregated form for reporting or research, without identifying individuals.

We do not sell or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal and system data for as long as required for operational, environmental, compliance, or archival purposes. You may request deletion or correction of your personal data subject to system and operational feasibility.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

GParks Canopy may contain links to external websites or tools. This Policy does not apply to those platforms. We are not responsible for the safety, content, or security practices of external sites. We encourage you to review their respective policies.
